[Fredslist] Help Needed w/ Uber

 Hi Networkers--
 
   A few weeks back I texted Uber for a ride and got message the driver would arrive in 14 minutes.  About 35 min. later no one had appeared, so a friend drove me to the airport.  Uber then charged me a cancellation fee though I didn't cancel my order till they were way late.  I missed my flight and had to take a later one.  At some point they also said the driver cancelled my ride.   

 
  They put the cancellation fee on my Uber account, not my credit card, which never dawned on me and feels like theft.  There's no way to know in advance they'd operate this way.  You can't dispute this particular issue online and you can't call them.  The amount isn't alarming but there's a principal involved:  They don't do their job right but they keep your money & keep you in the dark. 

 
   Any suggestions on other ways to proceed appreciated.  Or just commiserate with me!  Or tell me if Lyft is better.
