[Fredslist] PR Strategist needed for the 14th Street Coalition

Dear Gothamites,

With the upcoming closure of the L train, The 14th Street Coalition is looking for a PR Strategist to assist them in raising the awareness of the communities concerns. Please see their note below and the appropriate people to contact if you are interested:

Can you recommend a PR firm or freelancer who focuses on civic/political groups?

Despite our efforts the press are not giving our communities concerns much coverage and so the coalition is looking to hire someone with experience in this area of public relations.

We cannot count on the elected officials to fight for our communities, we see how they sit on the sidelines protecting their political hides, so other than the lawsuit the only thing left to us is to keep making noise and to be sure that our noise is heard.

The 14th Street Coalition is a growing group of residents and business that was formed in response to the MTA/DOT plans for the Canarsie “L” train shutdown. We seek to promote a solution beneficial to all residents, businesses and commuters affected.
