[Fredslist] Aggressive Skilled Litigator Needed

My brother David, who is a litigator based in Illinois but is also admitted in New York, needs to bring an aggressive and skilled litigator on as co-counsel in a case against one of his most important clients.

Basically, the Client is a woman who owns a NYC apartment who was dating a physician (the Plaintiff). The Client allowed the physician to live with her.  The physician decided that he wanted work done in the apartment to somehow accommodate his son and arranged for an architect and for  temporary walls to be put up in her apartment (and I assume other work to be done).  She didn't ask for any of the work to be done and doesn't appear to have particularly been interested in it.

You know where this is going don't you?

The couple broke up.  The doc is now suing her for fees paid in connection with his work on her apartment.  He placed a mechanics lien on the property for  $120,000 and swore that he is a General Contractor.  In response to a threat by David, the doctor claims (without providing proof) that he has withdrawn the mechanics lien, but has now filed a lawsuit against the client for breach of contract.  The lawsuit was filed under a  motion for summary judgment in lieu of complaint.  Needless to say, David and the client need to get on top of this ASAP.

David anticipates doing a lot of the work on this, but needs a skilled, aggressive co-counsel to assist with this.
