We have big news!

Please join us in welcoming Corey Bearak as our new moderator for Fredslist and Promolist effective October 1.

Debbie Lindner's job as Executive Director has become so demanding that we decided to do some reorganizing and bring in some help.  Debbie has shouldered this responsibility so well for so many years and we are grateful.  Corey already plays so many important roles in Gotham and we thank him for agreeing to take on the moderator role.   We ask you to help Corey transition into this role as he handles and responds to your postings.

Please note that we have made a change to when postings will be made. Going forward Fredslist and Promolist will not post over the weekend.  Postings will be moderated only between Monday and Friday.  Make sure to plan for that downtime when sending your messages to the lists.

As you know one of the many benefits of your Gotham membership is the magic wand known as Fredslist.  Fredslist is an ideal way to tap into the power of Gotham, our members and their connections and expertise.  As we continue to grow and more of us are using Fredslist, we look to ensure that it remains an effective tool to help our members.

With a new moderator taking over, this is a good time to review the many communication tools you have:


  *   Fredslist is for emails that require help from Gotham - need a connection or advice --or for GCs who want to share news of an upcoming Gotham meeting or Gotham event.  Send your email to fredslist at gothamnetworking.com<mailto:fredslist at gothamnetworking.com>.


  *   Fredslist is also the perfect place to share a "thank  you/ shout-out" to a Gotham member who has helped you or made a connection. You may even find your shout out selected for posting on the website's Power of  Gotham section on our homepage.


  *   Want to share news about your business or service offerings, send your email to promolist at gothamnetworking.com<mailto:promolist at gothamnetworking.com> - on either Tuesday or Friday. Members may post one promotional email per week. Take the time to read the promos as they come in. Our members share terrific business advice and offer special deals for their fellow Gotham members.


  *   If you have information to share about something in the news, a holiday greeting, or a link to something you think may interest others, post on Gotham Shares on our website.

Things to remember:


  *   When responding to an email on Fredslist or Promolist, use reply - not reply all
  *   In an effort to respect everyone's email and keep from overloading, we apply a rule of 3 --- only 3 emails on any one thread.
  *   When sending an email to Fredslist or Promolist, be sure to send from the email you are registered with on the website.  If you did not receive an email saying it is being held for moderating, we did not receive.
  *   When sending emails to Promolist, send on only Tuesday or Friday and be sure to send before 4 pm. in order to ensure it gets posted.
  *   Sending an email to Fredslist on the weekend?  We want you all to enjoy your weekend, relax and come back to work on Monday refreshed and ready to do business with your fellow members. As explained above, emails post Monday through Friday. Of course, emails are reviewed sporadically on the weekends in case there is an emergency email that needs to be sent to all.
