There’s no doubt you hear it all the time, but allow me to send out an explanation:

You are all encouraged to go to your meeting pages and select the “I’ll be there!” button if you will in fact be there!  It takes less than a second to do and there is in fact a reason for it.  It allows circuit riders to see if you or a particular person they’d like to meet will be there.  For example, CPA’s are good referral sources for me.  So let’s say I’d like to meet a new one and I’m looking for a group that has one and has a meeting that will fit into my schedule.  The first thing I’ll do is go to the Gotham events tab and look for a meeting.  Then I’ll look through the profiles of the different members in that group.  (If you prefer, you can do a keyword search for ‘accounting’ or some other term that relates to CPA’s/accountants).  Or perhaps I might start with those members that selected the “I’ll be there!” button because it may save me time!  How will I know if the person I’m looking to meet will be there if they haven’t selected the button?!  I’d have to reach out to them directly which will take more time out of my day than if we’d all just select that little button on the meeting page!

The point is, it doesn’t take much effort to do it.  And it might lead to new business for you or a new referral partner!  Happy Friday!
