[Fredslist] Help with macOS High Sierra update

I updated my computer with macOS High Sierra. Though I did NOT ask to
upgrade to iCloud, my calendar is messed up again. This seems to happen
whenever I upgrade and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
When opening my calendar, I saw two account. Mine and a duplicate iCloud
account. I went into system preferences to get rid of the iCloud account
and now my calendar is blank.
