Hello Gotham,

A leak from a hose under a bathroom sink in apt 5b damaged our apt 3b.  Super says tenant at fault not in structure of building.  Damage 7k.  5b's insurance co. says their client was not negligent and will not pay for our damage.
We would prefer not making a claim on our homeowner's policy.

Should we hire a lawyer? If so, would 
5b be responsible for legal fees?
Ideas are welcomed.
