In her “expose” about the wonderful clambake this correspondent missed on Friday, Marylyn just pointed out a great reason to comment on the Gotham blogs…..

and I not saying this because it’s Sunday (I swear, I’d post this same sentiment on a Friday!).

This is the first year that I attended the gathering and I gratefully thank David Abeshouse and his wife Darlye for including me as their guest. Unfortunately Daryle was not able to attend so we are looking forward to next year when we can all enjoy the evening together. It was indeed a lovely evening and I was delighted  to meet many of the Gothamites  who until Friday I only knew from reading their replies to blogs, etc. 
Very nice way to begin a holiday weekend.
