[Fredslist] NY Legal's George Akst shared his knowledge

Gotham's alleged “stiff” group (Fred’s characterization, never mine) evidenced anything but that at its last meeting, yesterday, featuring a “spotlight” by member, Immigration and Naturalization attorney George Akst.  

When GC Lisa Waterman, marketing wizard of (Michael) Garibaldi Group (CPAs), scheduled George, no one expected access to the United State be the main topic before us all.  George share the impact of the POTUS executive order held up in the Federal district court (and rejected just today in Circuit Court ruling).

George demonstrated his knowledge of the issues around the enjoined order, its impact on various classes of those seeking to re-enter (and stay) in the U.S., including green card holders and even citizens, and those seeking access for the first time.  It sparked a lively discussion.

Meeting George Akst and learning his expertise — just another reason to attend NY Legal, certainly one of my fave groups to visit on a circuit ride.  Be sure to visit NY Legal at its next meeting.  And if you’d attended this last meeting you’d see who the members let sit in Fred’s chair.
