[Fredslist] Travel advisory - La Guardia Airport

You might have heard that NY's LaGuardia Airport (LGA) is beginning a
multi-million dollar redevelopment program which will take up to four years
to complete.  Since this is a major airport for NY travelers, the airport
will stay open during this time.  Last week travelers were reporting very
long travel times to get to the LGA terminals and many airlines are
advising travelers to budget about 4 hours from Manhattan to LGA.

Last week there were stories of people leaving rental cars on the parkways
and walking the rest of the way to the terminal and even Uber has been
refusing rides to and from La Guardia.

So, of course, TSA security checkpoint lines are also backed up and many
travelers are becoming quite agitated.
