Dealing Effectively With Violence in the Workplace

Please join us, and listen to three experts share their knowledge on this
increasingly unfortunate occurrence.  Business is challenging enough
without additional issues; however, in today's world, violence is more
common, and leaders need to know what to do.  The creation of a plan, in
the event of any violence, so employees know how to best protect
themselves, and the facility, in addition to notifying a local police
department, is of vital importance. Our panelists will share the need for
a contingency plan, and help the organization minimize the impact on
their clients. You will learn how to handle the unwanted event, as well
as preventive action that can be taken so it doesn't happen.

  Jeffrey S. Ettenger      Dr. Jeffrey Goldberg          Felix P. Nater

Jeffrey S. Ettenger is a partner at Lee A. Schwartz & Associates, PLLC in
Melville. He concentrates his practice in the area of labor and
employment law, assisting small to mid-size businesses with their
day-to-day employment needs. He also has substantial litigation
experience defending federal and state law unpaid wage claims and
employment discrimination claims.

Dr. Jeffrey Goldberg has a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology
from Columbia University. As president of Personnel Sciences Center
(PSC), a human resources consulting practice, Dr. Goldberg is engaged in
Aptitude Testing, Management Skills Training and Employee Counseling. He
conducts client seminars in Selection Interviewing, Performance
Evaluation, Employee Motivation, and Violence in the Workplace. For over
20 years he has served as an Adjunct Professor teaching I/O Psychology at
Queens College, Fordham University, Adelphi University and SUNY
Farmingdale .

Felix P. Nater, CSC is a Certified Security Consultant as awarded by the
International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC).
Nater Associates, Ltd. is a workplace security management consulting firm
that helps organizations implement and manage workplace security with a
specialty in workplace violence prevention. Felix is a retired United
States Postal Inspector who worked on the Postal Inspection Service's
Violence Interdiction Team on Long Island. He was President of the North
East Chapter of ATAP (Association of Threat Assessment Professionals) and
is the current Carolinas Chapter president of the IMC (International
Management Consultants). Felix is a retired Sergeant Major having served
as the command sergeant major of the 77th Regional Support Command.
Clients include private, government and not for profit organizations.  He
has been recognized by several organizations including the Schools to
Business Partnership of Long Island .
