[Fredslist] An AWESOME Fredslist request follow-up

A few months ago I sent out a request to meet people at either  the Mets or Yankees organization so that Stars for Cars, my son's charity to help Military Families, can sponsor a baseball clinic for military children in a major league park.  As usual I received many responses and came very close to getting this clinic at either stadium.   We are having it at the Cyclone's stadium in August.  However, not all was lost.  The contact that Rob Giamboi gave me at the Yankees has turned out to a home run!  Stars for Cars has been chosen to be one of the local charities that the Yankees spotlight during their HOPE week event.  So today, Jake and Stars for Cars is being helped today by the NY Yankees.  He will be selling his Stars at New Rochelle's City Hall with his friends and 5 Yankees starters.   During the game they will promote his message of recognizing the sacrifices and generosity of our Military Families. He will also be selling his Stars at the stadium.

So asking for help for one thing to help 150 military children has turned out to having the message of recognizing the sacrifices and generosity  of our Blue Star and Gold Star Military Families being heard by thousands.  And if just a few of those who hear this message follow up and do something than that is the home run Stars for Cars is looking for.
