[Fredslist] Please help me welcome GOtham GREEN(R)'s newest member Andrew Barnes

We welcome Andrew to the Gotham family and are so pleased to have him as a
member.  Here is a brief Bio for Andrew:


Andrew L. Barnes III, is a Jurisdictional Manager at National Grid, a UK
based natural gas and electric service company with operations in New York,
Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.  Barnes manages a portfolio of commercial
and industrial customer accounts and assists other large natural gas users
with energy efficiency projects.   He builds and maintains strong business
relationships in New York City that help provide superior customer service
to National Grid’s 1.8 Million customers throughout New York City.



Mr. Barnes served as program manager of National Grid’s Hurricane Sandy
Emergency Economic and Community Redevelopment Program, which provided
almost $20 Million in emergency financial assistance to commercial,
industrial and multi-family housing customers, throughout New York City and
Long Island, to help offset the costs of reconstructing buildings and
restoring business activity.


Prior to joining National Grid, Barnes held policy and communications
positions with the New York City Economic Development Corporation, New York
City Mayor’s Office, and the New York State Assembly.



Mr. Barnes represents National Grid on the boards of the Queens Chamber of
Commerce, CUNY’s York College Foundation, Greater Jamaica Development
Corporation, and the Alley Pond Environmental Center.  He is also a member
of the New York Chapter for both the American Marketing Association and the
Public Relations Society of America and is active with New York Road
Runners.



He earned an MBA from the State University of New York at Albany and a
Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from St. John’s University.
