[Fredslist] question about a Parking tax certificate renew

Hello Gotham:


Have any of you negotiated this experience and are able to pass on advice to me?


I am a NYC resident parking a car monthly in a NYC garage.  I have a tax certificate entitling me to a lower garage rate. I received my renewal for this year recently but when I mailed it on to the garage, it seems to have gotten lost in the mail.  I will be charged the higher rate unless I can retrieve the renewal (my mistake that I didn't make a copy).


I "opened a case" with the city but have no idea to proceed and am snared in city bureaucracy.


Any advice  would be gratefully accepted.
