2015 New York City Marathon

The New York City Marathon has been an annual event in New York City for the past 45 years, which has grown from a Central Park race with 55 finishers to the world's biggest and most popular marathon, with 50,530 finishers in 2014.

Staging the TCS New York City Marathon necessitates closing many streets and bridges throughout NYC on Sunday, November 1, 2015. Therefore, the NYPD would like to provide the following information concerning the marathon in order to alleviate delays in your travel throughout the five boroughs for the duration of the 2015 New York City Marathon.

Public transportation is recommended for travel, as there will be several street and bridge closures <http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=001MhNlxYuA9qVxHoyAyHwq5x7GkRYM87wty9fpbclTa4p6spdrPdtStvwlLpwj3eO5TZEVx8Dam6xPmd6FyfBYCtGX5AN9JuDx96Ehp8gNtDZm_IzP4XVywzUcqfu5zpAlH9E5f-4cCEINLsb9wPEBjotjXp4S3imFH3itiBoNrgGlII4sRcLr0NAS8jBnT8uDkDBLNIx1a4THZaLIqvAPoF2fCkBNdkFWlvwk3RE26El3OxKAYnBXdQ==&c=Oly-UXAvAvc4aMF8XgqGvE38m67u44tbz1XynWqcCA-wk16M7zX-1w==&ch=YJPrZhDHStqemUaTP5eCDkMBdh1FOLxyJSh8IBPY3YXrLu7AwjT3iw==> throughout the day. Please note that on race day, the 1 train will not be operating between 14th Street and South Ferry. The 2 and 3 trains will serve local stations between 34th Street and Chambers Street; no trains will run between Chambers Street and South Ferry. The MTA Trip Planner offers the most up to date information regarding changes in travel using public transportation, so it is recommended that you visit it, here <http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=001MhNlxYuA9qVxHoyAyHwq5x7GkRYM87wty9fpbclTa4p6spdrPdtStvwlLpwj3eO5mKDVX5O9usGL1zeckv3DSgJJbWAt4a2uUcrCCxUN5UTUyc2txB6BjWie8N4JoBG_i0pRfVHZYSE--9CZ5LYny-COiYVRYxR3wfJOpBJwj-MoLcFL-ZmsD9kTBMairSd_wRQQqLmI54zSPLAzQTX2QBVQlWfqiFCEBXXTtV-BJ5KdCAhLCa4JmQ==&c=Oly-UXAvAvc4aMF8XgqGvE38m67u44tbz1XynWqcCA-wk16M7zX-1w==&ch=YJPrZhDHStqemUaTP5eCDkMBdh1FOLxyJSh8IBPY3YXrLu7AwjT3iw==>.
