Hi List -

I have a PC with the following scenario.

EB5 regional center was engaged for $500K investment.

300K was sent to regional center and accepted.

Then regional center claims its emails were hacked into and wire instructions were sent by a fraudster from their accounts to the PC.

PC sent 200K to a bank account, that regional center is claiming was not its own.

Now PC is out of money and is exploring options for legal action.

Is there any theory out there that regional center should bear this loss, since its email servers were hacked?

Anyone with recent experience of this kind?
