[Fredslist] Patient Rights Question

Hi Gotham,

A sports medicine doctor at the Hospital for Special Surgery is refusing to send the written report of my MRI until I see him in person to review the results, saying it's "hospital policy." 

Am I correct that it's my medical record and that as such, he does not have the right to determine the conditions of its release?

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
