Hey Guys,

We have all heard the stories: “only driven by a little old lady”, or “little old school teacher”, or whatever.  Well this is a version of that story, but it involves a little old man, the best man I know, my dad.

My 89 year old dad bought a beautiful new MB CLA250 Coupe 4Matic in Polar Silver a year ago.  He drove it around the Hamptons, to and from the beach and on dinner dates with his relatively younger girlfriend.  At the time I thought "good for him!” no, I thought “great for him!, I want to be him!”.

Now, sadly, after a sudden change in his health he is in his new home at Westhampton Care Center, and the car is for sale.  It has just over 6,000 miles, yes you are reading this right, just over 6,000 miles.  I guess those dates were to local restaurants only.  It is simply in perfect, yes perfect, condition.  It still smells new.

I am dealing with so many other more important issues in trying to make my dad’s quality of life as best as it can possibly be that I simply do not have the time or energy to sell this car to the highest bidder on the open market.  And I already have a great car myself.  

So, if anyone is interested in new wheels and wants to seize the day and grab a perfect low milage MB that has been driven only by a “little old man” in and around the Hamptons, this is your chance.  Blue Book says $32,851 retail, MB says trade in value is $30,588, splitting the difference makes it for sale to a Gotham Member at $31,720.

Do what my dad did, live a little, buy it and take your relatively younger girl or guy friend out to dinner.  After all, you can’t take it with you.
