Fred,

It was an absolute pleasure to meet and chat with you yesterday. What a lovely lunch -- great cuisine, great company, great laughs -- could not have asked for more! I do hope you had a great afternoon --

As we did not have too much of a chance to speak about my background, I drew up a bit of a bio for you. Let me know if there is anything else you might need from me.

I am just finishing up my undergraduate degree at Northeastern, where I majored in Human Services and International Affairs, and minored in Chinese, Social Activism and Social Entrepreneurship.  During my time at Northeastern, I completed 3 cooperative education job opportunities. I spent my first co-op working in South Africa for a family preservation organization where I establish a Rape Crisis Counseling center, and helped expand the company internationally. During my 3rd year, I spent 8 months in China, not only working on my language abilities, but also completing research for the Beijing Suicide Prevention and Research Center with a special focus on female college students levels of suicidality.  Just after China, I headed to Lusaka, Zambia for an incredibly transformative internship at a drug rehabilitation organization where I served as a co-facilitator. While in Zambia, I helped implement a program that brings drug education to local elementary and middle schools that is still being used today.

All of these wonderful experiences, in combination with my work on the Northeastern University Powerlifting Team, helped me decide to move on to graduate school immediately after completing my undergrad. I will be attending the University of Bristol in England (about 90min from London), for a Masters in Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Public Health, and a Masters in Social Work. My research currently focuses on gathering evidence to support Exercise Therapy as a viable treatment for PTSD, specifically with war veterans. I will continue this research through graduate school, and eventually begin a PhD. I am interested in eventually working for the United Nations World Health Organization.

Outside of my academics and career path, I am a serious powerlifter both for Northeastern University, and for USA Powerlifting. I will continue my love for the sport while in England, lifting for both Bristol, and hopefully Team Great Britain!

What I hope to gain from connecting with Gotham are viable contacts currently present in England, most likely London, that might help me on my trajectory towards these goals. In addition, I am happy to serve as a resource for anyone looking for someone with any of my semi-honed, quite young, skill sets!
