Please join us for the next meeting of Gotham LI Women being held on Thursday July 9, 2015, 2015, at 8:15AM at the Milleridge Inn.  Many of us have either received or know someone who has received staggering medical bills, so this meeting will feature a member spotlight by our very own healthcare attorney Akshara Kanaan.

Akshara will be speaking about the Surprise Medical Bill Law that went into effect two months ago and is designed to protect patients from those unexpected medical costs.  It impacts patients, doctors, hospitals and health insurance companies. Akshara will walk through the need-to-know details for patients so they can protect their rights in a doctor's office or emergency room, as well as how the law affects medical providers and how they can ensure they are in compliance.

This is sure to be an excellent meeting, so please let me know if you will be able to attend.  This is a non-compete group but we do have a number of niches open, and we love to see new faces.
