Below our own Amparo Connors and hubby Jeff (center) with Member of Congress Grace Meng at the boroughwide Queens Civic Congress 2015 Legislative Reception at the Douglaston Club, Sunday, December 6. Amparo represented the North Bellerose Civic Association where I serve as acting president.  In 2012 Amparo was featured on a Meng mailing focusing on small business when the Member of Congress first sought election during that year’s June Democratic congressional primary. 


This correspondent was an advisor during her successful bid to win that Democratic primary (tantamount to election) and introduced Amparo to the then candidate.  Even though Amparo and I live in the same community, only through our Gotham tribe did we meet — when the two Steves (Lichtenstein and Spurgeon) formed Gotham Towers.  Who knew what Gotham would wrought…...
