[Fredslist] spam text

Hi Gothamites,
 
Recently for the first time I got a spam text, advertising  sunglasses.  
With spam emails I block the sender & delete (of course,  similar emails come 
w/ new sender names but blocking still is helpful).
 
Today I got a spam email for same sunglasses for the first time, and  
blocked the sender.
 
My question is, is there a way to block a spam text message?  I  have an 
iPhone 4S.
