potential for a strategic alliance source that someone else has not thought
of before.

And don’t worry about perfection. Think of networking like matchmaking.
 Make the introduction based on whether you think there is something
worthwhile for the two people involved.  But, ultimately, they are the ones
that need to go on the date and find out if they are right for each other.
