[Fredslist] statute of limitations on traffic violations

Is anyone aware of any statute of limitations on traffic violations

I received a summons for a ticket Nassau County is saying I did not answer
from 1998 (yes you are reading the date correctly)

I don't remember receiving it (doesn't mean I did not)

When I called I was told they had "computer issues" and a lot of people
were getting these for unanswered tickets
