Gothamites,

 

MISSION STATEMENT: The Long Island Arts Council at Freeport nurtures the
professional development of artists and arts organizations on Long Island,
and encourages the community's involvement in the arts.

 

I'm involved with the Long Island Arts Council at Freeport.  We give free
summer concerts, arts for kids and other programs as well.  We're looking to
increase the number of affiliates (who are mostly artists, and some
non-profit organizations) who join the council (by paying dues) by
increasing the benefits/perks that we offer to them.  We're asking merchants
to offer discounts to our affiliates.  For instance, we have a picture
framing store offering a discount on their work, an artist supply house to
offer 10% on purchases, etc.  

 

I'm wondering if any members of Gotham would be interested in offering our
affiliates some discount/benefit/service/etc.  It doesn't have to be just
long island-based. You'll be listed on our website and linked to your
website.
