The Council for Airport Opportunity (CAO) is currently recruiting for a number of different positions for both LaGuardia and JFK International Airports.
 
Recruitment will begin on Thursday, December 11, 2014, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  and ending Tuesday, December 23, 2014.  No one will be admitted after 1:00 p.m.

We are recruiting for the following positions:
 
Baggage Handler:                            Must be able to lift 70 or more lbs on regularly basis; Driver’s License required
 
Cabin Cleaner:                                  Requires cleaning of the aircraft, no license is required
 
CDL Drivers                                         Must have a CDL-A or B with a “P” Endorsement; drive passengers to and from the airports; also CDL-A without “P” endorsement for tractor trailer drivers 
 
Document Agent:                            Computer data entry; preparing flight documents; provide customer service; Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word skills required
 
Food Service:                                    Dishwasher, Pizza Maker and Short Order Cook
 
GSE Mechanic                                   Ground Service Equipment Mechanic – operate ground service equipment, overhaul engines, operate aircraft deicing equipment; Driver’s License is required
 
Jet Bridge Operator:                       Operate Jet Bridge by driving it up to aircraft for boarding/deplaning of passengers; NY/NJ Driver’s License is required; must be customer oriented
 
Lead Agent:                                        Must have NY/NJ Driver’s License.  Customer service oriented, supervisory experience
 
Passenger Service:                          Multi-language (Mandarin, Korean, Turkish, Japanese, others); assisting passengers inside airline terminals
 
Ramp Agent:                                      Load/off load luggage, mail, cargo, etc off/on the aircraft lifting 70 or more lbs
 
Security Guards:                              Must have NYS Security License, 8/16 Hrs Certificates; HS Diploma/GED is a plus
 
Warehouse Cargo Agent:             Must have Driver’s License; build up and break down pallets; operate forklifts
 

 
 


CREDENTIALS NEEDED FOR REFERRAL TO AIRPORTS


Social security card (not laminated)

NYS I.D., Learner’s Permit or (NY/NJ Driver’s License needed for most jobs)

High School Diploma or GED

US citizen needs birth certificate or a US Passport


8/16 Security Certificates and NYS Security License (for security jobs)


Non-citizen needs Green Card or a Work Authorization Card & a Valid Passport

Naturalized citizen needs citizenship certificate and a valid
US Passport


NAMES MUST MATCH ON ALL DOCUMENTS
