THE EFFECTS OF THE SEQUESTER ON THE US PASSPORT AGENCY

As the situation stands right now, the sequester is expected to effect the US Passport Agency. By month-end, the US Passport Agency expects to implement work slowdowns and potentially reduce services. These cuts could delay passport processing times indefinitely.

A passport which is valid for travel will need to be in good condition, have a minimum of 6 months of validity from date of entry (although some destinations require longer) and at least two blank visa stamp pages. If your passport is not travel ready, the Passport Agency can do, adding pages, lost/damaged passport replacement and/or name changes.

Take a moment to check the validity of your passport; don't wait until the last minute (worst-case scenario - being denied boarding at the airport!)
sincerely,
Cheri
