Here is some insight from Downtown Gotham's Favorite (only) GC. The life of the GC is to help build the group and usher guests through the application process. Sounds relatively simple, doesn't it? This depends in great part on the cooperation of your existing members and the guests they invite. In this case, the guests have to be cleared first, as we are a non-compete group. Considerable angst can be saved by following a few simple Gotham rules.

Guests must be cleared and then be invited by the GC. Guests must pay on line in advance of the meeting. People who cannot manage to follow these simple rules are likely to be difficult in other ways as well. I am old, this is from experience.

Guests must be interviewed by the Downtown Gotham GC (that would be me) before they can attend a second meeting. Applicants must pay and submit their application or they cannot attend the next Gotham meeting . I want everyone to see the example of an e-mail a circuit rider sent to me for clearance. Just PERFECT and very much appreciated. We are looking forward to a wonderful April 30th meeting. We have three applicants, circuit riders and fresh fish attending. We welcome your attendance after clearance and hope you will tell your friends as well. Our next meeting can be found on the Gotham Calendar, April 30th, View of the World Terrace Club, 140 Washington Street, opposite the Freedom Tower. Details are on the sign up page. Once you are cleared, and have paid, please "join" the meeting. PERFECT E-MAIL FOLLOWS:
