Many of you are facing incredible challenges - physical, emotional and
financial -  due to the destruction and devastation of Hurricane Sandy.  How
can we help you get back in business?  Long Island needs your energy,
enthusiasm and creativity as we work together to rebuild.  

 

Let's start with a list of resources:  

Note that the FEMA dates are critical - you have 30 days from the incident
to apply.  Briefings in Nassau County start on the 14th!!

holding briefings on the 14th and 15th in Nassau and Suffolk. They will
cover the FEMA category known as public assistance, which has to do with
infrastructure/ building damage, etc.  Nonprofits are eligible under
"certain" circumstances, but to be considered and have eligibility
determined, you must file a form called "rpa" 30 days after the incident. 

 

After filing, FEMA staff will meet with you to assess eligibility.
