Basically, keep good records (and photos, etc.) of all correspondence,
bills, reimbursement checks, storm-related expenses, etc. and give to your
tax preparer.

Unreimbursed storm-related expenses can be deducted after certain
calculations are performed based on fair market value, cost basis, etc.
(which your tax preparer will do).
