Website Coordinator

The Parkinson's Disease Foundation (PDF) seeks a Website Coordinator  
to support the online information needs of the organization. As an  
integral member of the organization, the Website Coordinator assists  
in the planning, development, and implementation of the PDF website  
and online tools. The Website Coordinator is responsible for content  
management; design; eblasts; video support; coordination of reports  
and limited IT and administrative support.

Reports to:
This position reports to the Communications Manager.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Perform content management updates to PDF website and online tools.
Prepare and send weekly organizational eblasts.
Support use of video technologies on website, including coordination  
of PDF webinars, webcasts and other online educational programs, and  
post-production editing of videos.
Provide A/V and customer support for live online educational programs.
Handle processing of daily online publication orders.
Develop and improve site features/applications (e.g., donation forms,  
surveys, event registrations, e-commerce tools).
Manage certain website tools, such as the Creativity and Parkinson's  
gallery.
Create print and online multimedia content, including promotional  
postcards, flyers, banner ads, eCards and social media branding.
Coordinate management of vendor as it relates to NetCommunity projects.
Ensure website is dynamic, user friendly and conforms to standards of  
usability and accessibility for special populations.
Optimize site content for maximum visibility and ranking in major  
search engines (SEO).
Assist in timely project production following Communications editorial  
calendar.
Coordinate reports to track webinar/webcast participation.
Handle basic Web administration, such as maintaining domain name  
registrations, site hosting services, responding to inquiries from  
site visitors, etc.
Participate in other tasks and special projects as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with at least two years related experience.
In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript, Creative Suite,  
content management systems, Web standards and best practices.  
Proficiency with MS Office.
Experience with Raiser's Edge and Net Community, or with similar  
databases such as Convio or Kintera systems, required.
Flash development knowledge a plus, but not necessary.
Ability to adapt and innovate as technologies and standards change.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work as part of a team and  
translate technical knowledge to staff as well as interact with  
general public.
Must be resourceful, self-starter and problem solver.
Must be flexible, with ability to juggle multiple priorities under  
tight deadlines.
Proven commitment to nonprofit work and PDF's mission.
