Tim Richman is the son of a very good college friend and he attended Open
House today and made a very good impression. I asked him to compose the
below for posting on fredslist. Please take a look and be creative as to
ways he might maximize his capabilities and desire to enter new fields of
endeavor. Thanks.

RE:  Skilled Mathematician Seeking Career Change

To Whom It May Concern:

I have been a high school mathematics teacher since 2006.  (Subjects
ranging from Algebra I to AP Calculus)  My experience has included teaching
in such divergent high school settings as Harlem in New York City to the
educated and affluent population of Westchester County, NY.

My education includes a BS in Mathematics and a Masters degree in
Education, and in both I graduated with honors.  My technological
proficiency is wide ranging, my interpersonal and teaching skills have led
to a large tutoring clientele and my mastery of the subjects I teach is
unparalleled.  The reference letters I include here attest to the
aforementioned.

It is my desire to apply my mathematics skills to the business, research or
finance arena.  What I am seeking is a more challenging and stimulating use
of my skills. Data analyses, Actuarial or Statistical work, even simple
number-crunching – I am looking to move into the adult realm of business
after what I and others consider to have been an effective and excellent
teaching career.

I appreciate any consideration you may give me, as well as any advice or
contacts you may have to offer.

My thanks and warm regards,

Timothy Richman
