I keep talking about how good our "Give" is and in that context please read
the below from a very very fine young man (who happens to be the son of a
Gothamite) who is one of the Leaders of our "Facing the World" Group aka
Young Pros.

Let's launch him!

Subject:	Follow-Up from Young Pros Meeting

Hi Fred,

It was great to meet you last night. The rest of the Young Pros definitely
appreciate you stopping by, and we hope to see you at future meetings.

To follow up on your question, if I were to wave a magic wand and have any
job, I would like to become VP of marketing or business development for a
professional sports team. This interests me because you get to work for a
brand and product that people care about, while coming up with creative and
innovative ways to connect with your fans (consumers) and drive the success
of the business. This would also require a knowledge of the sponsorship
landscape, and how brands drive their advertising within the sports
industry. It is becoming more important for marketing executives to
incorporate and create digital and social media into their marketing
strategy, as it allows teams, leagues, and sponsors to connect with fans in
new and innovative ways.

To start down this path, gaining marketing experience working for a
professional team (like the Knicks or Yankees) or a league (NFL, MLB, NHL,
NBA) would place me in a great starting position. However, I realize I must
just get in the door to obtain the right position with the right people in
the right company that would grant me experience within the sports business
landscape. Positions that deal with sponsorships and new types of
media would also set me on the right path toward my goals.

Your willingness to assist me toward achieving my goal is greatly
appreciated, and I cannot thank you enough. I look forward to hearing back
from you soon.

Bad Boy in training,

- John Tublin
