Liz,
Congrats! Your story is oh so compelling. So many of those I have done business with in Gotham, I met via a circuit ride, or their visit to one of my groups.

to everyone else, especially those who needs to read this...
I heartily recommend rides and expect to see more than a few of you soon. And attending one of my groups, or making plans to meeting just after (and/or before in the case of the GREEN group) can be a great way to introduce yourself.

Best.

-Corey

Dear Tribe,

First the news. I have moved to one of the largest and most visible residential real estate brokerage firms in New York, Halstead Property. The move is very exciting as being associated with Halstead will enable me to serve my clients on a much higher level.

What does this have to do with Riding the Circuit and networking you ask? In November, I rode the circuit to the Real Estate Group. The room was filled to capacity, so meeting everyone was not possible. However with the attendance list in hand, I followed up with many of the attendees making appointments for “coffee”. Then Fresh Fish, now Gotham Member, Mark Bernstein and I met for breakfast where I briefly mentioned I was considering changing agencies. Following our meeting he graciously introduced me to several of his contacts including a salesperson at Halstead. I met the salesperson for lunch and she offered to introduce me to her sales manager. A couple of interviews later, I was offered a place in the Village office of Halstead Property.

Mark, thank you, for generously introducing me to your contacts. You ROCK!

For those of you who don’t ride the circuit and/or schedule one-on-one meetings with the people you meet, what’s holding you back? Not only is it a lot of fun; but you never know who you might be able to help or who might help you. So check out the Gotham calendar and start Riding the Circuit. You’ll see me at the meetings!

Have a great day.
