> Dear Friends who Read and Readers who are Friends,
>
> First of all, get your popcorn ready or set your TiVo. Or both. This Saturday night, February 4, is the premiere of the Lifetime television movie based on my 2010 novel, Secrets of Eden.
>
> It stars John Stamos and Anna Gunn. John plays the deeply conflicted Vermont pastor, Stephen Drew, and Anna brings deputy state’s attorney Catherine Benincasa to life. The cast and crew were a delight and my opinion on the adaptation is. . .
>
> Well, you can read all about my opinion on the adaptation right here.
>
> And you can watch a TV trailer for the film on Lifetime’s Secrets of Eden page.
>
> This has also been a terrific new year for new books.
>
> If you missed them, January brought us wonderful novels from
>
>
> Margot Livesey (The Flight of Gemma Hardy);
> Sarah McCoy (The Baker’s Daughter); and
> Adam Johnson (The Orphan Master’s Son).
>
> Later this month, look for Jodi Picoult’s Lone Wolf. And in March, Howard Frank Mosher’s new memoir arrives (The Great Northern Express: A Writer’s Journey Home), Harlan Coben's Stay Close, as well as Noah Hawley’s novel, The Good Father.
>
> And if you are waiting for The Night Strangers in paperback, you need only wait until April 24.
>
> Finally, there is this: My next new novel, The Sandcastle Girls, will be published on July 17. It’s a big, sweeping, historical love story set in Armenia, Turkey, and Syria in 1915. I really appreciate the way Doubleday has distilled the story in their catalog.
>
> As always, thanks so much for reading – and, now, watching. I am grateful beyond words for your faith in my work. Remember, Lifetime on Saturday night.
