Gotham ­ As always you are great!  Lots of responses ­ and just in case any
of you also could use the list of recommendations ­ here it is:

Prime Grill (probably received the most recommendations)
Prime KO
Solo (also popular)
Le Marais
Wolf and Lamb
Colbeh (in Great Neck)
Sammy's Roumanian (although I think that while delicious and a great
experience, it isn't quite the high end place my mom was looking for)

Also ­ fyi to all ­ apparently Per Se can accommodate vegetarians
