Hello everybody,

It is that time of year again that Colgate Football and I are participating
in Uplifting Athletes. Uplifting Athletes is a nonprofit organization that
consists of the Colgate football team and many other college football teams
across the country. The actual event is a competition involving events such
as car pulls, tractor tire flips, pullups, 225 pound bench off, and skill
drills. Last year, I proudly won the 225 pound bench off, and look to
uphold my title this year.

Each year, the members of Uplifting Athletes raise money for a particular
rare disease. This year, like last, we are raising money for Ependymoma, a
rare type of brain cancer. Last year we were able to raise almost $15,000,
which nearly doubled our fundraising record Uplifting Athletes here at
Colgate. We have set our goal at $20,000 this year, and hope that you can
contribute to our cause.

meaningful impact, and is greatly appreciated.

Thank you and Go 'Gate,

Harlan Abeshouse '13
