[Fredslist] Marymount Manhattan senior seeks 2 BR Manhattan apt

Dear Gothamites, My daughter, a rising senior at Marymount Manhattan
College, is looking for a two-bedroom Manhattan apartment to share with a
friend for the next year.  She has a 3.8 GPA, has worked since she was 13
(now 21) and works almost full-time as a food server.  She’s very
industrious and reliable.



She and two friends have been looking at $3000-$3600/month 3 br apartments,
but their third party has now dropped out. They have looked in the lower
East Side, at 38th between 7th and 8th, and some other places, I don’t
really know the neighborhoods.


They've been close a few times but then the deal seems to disappear! They
have money for rent and for security (thanks, Grannie), and (did I say),
are excellent students and good workers.



If Gotham can turn up an apartment for them (of course, now they need it by
May 1), it would be deemed (by me, at least--dare I speak for the rest of
Princeton Gotham?) as evidence of yet another Gotham miracle.  I keep
hearing about the internship in Beijing…can this be harder than that?
