Allen thanks for the update.

 

Question on wholly unrelated topic. Do you  know any decent commercial
bankruptcy attorneys in Manhattan? I have a acquaintance who owns a
commercial building in uptown Manhattan (Washington Heights). He's been
struggling to keep the building in this recession. He filed for I believe
Chap 13. He used a lawyer who was a friend who does primarily real estate.
She messed up the bankruptcy & failed to properly apply for an extension on
the bankruptcy stay. The bank has started foreclosure which is scheduled for
mid-November. He needs a new bankruptcy attorney to help him (hopefully) get
an extension on the stay to prevent the foreclosure. He apparently has
recently received new government approvals to accept Section 8 tenants and
other government sanctioned tenants so he believes that he can turn his
situation around, but he needs to stave off foreclosure.

 

He of course has cash to pay. 

 

If you know someone, please email or call me at the office tommorrow. What
I'm looking for for this man is a decent attorney who, if he or she accepts
the case, won't f --- it up, but will deliver proper legal services -
possibly at a premium - for a paying client.
