The Marcie Mazzola Foundation was established as a tribute to Marcie who died in a car accident when she was only 21 years old. Marcie was a very special young woman who cared about people. As a child victim of sexual abuse, Marcie knew the trauma that children suffer and was committed to fighting back. At the time of her death, Marcie was actively involved in a civil law suit against her abuser. Rather than let this terrible experience embitter her, Marcie resolved to channel it toward a greater good and intended to donate the entire settlement to help children in need.



Though Marcie did not live long enough to see justice served, the civil suit was won and her intentions and legacy will live on. The mission of the Foundation is to "help better the lives of abused and at risk children, and to build community awareness about the needs of children." Since inception, the foundation has helped hundreds of children.
