[Fredslist] Need a lawyer to advise on recourse against architect overcharging

A request from generally reasonable clients:

 

They retained an architect to do construction in their apartment in
Manhattan - and they believe they're being overcharged.   Outrageously, the
wife says.

Can someone among us advise them of their options and possible recourse?
