Brooklyn Film Festival (BFF). Screenings are on Sunday June 5th  and Thursday June 
9th, followed by a Q&A with director Joel  Fendelman. Watch the trailer

Synopsis

"David"  is the story of Da’ud (Muatasem Mishal), an eleven year old Muslim 
 boy growing up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. As the son of the local  Imam, Da’
ud has to juggle his father’s (Maz Jobrani) high  expectations, the dynamics 
of a conservative family, and being  different - even from his peers in the 
Muslim community. Through  an innocent act of good faith, Da’ud 
inadvertently befriends Yoav  (Binyomin Shtaynberger) who mistakes him for being Jewish 
and  accepts him as a close friend. Unable to resist the joy of a  
camaraderie that he has never felt before, Da’ud is drawn into a  complicated 
situation based upon both the best of intentions, and  youthful deceit.
