A campaign contributor to a client called and left word he wants to hire an attorney to file repetitive Article 78s when an Administrative Law Judge for NYC Parking Violations Bureau denies a ticket challenge (He reps business who get multiple tickets.). Rather than just post an item I thought it would be prudent to call him. From our conversation I am clear that he seeks an attorney who will take the matter because it involves essentially boiler plates challenges once the first is filed. He indicates that most times be brings evidence to rebut violations, the ALJ accepts the proof; in those instances where a different judge rejects the same evidence used successfully in the other cases, he wants to bring Article 78 proceedings.
He is not interested in the going rates for when an attorney brings a separate action but seeks someone who would expect to receive multiple similar cases and thus negotiate an economy of scale. If you think this is something you wish to pursue, email me and I can discuss it further and put you in touch with this business person.
