[Fredslist] Thank you Gotham

The Gotham Summer of Giving was created 4 years ago to answer the challenge
of how the Long Island Health Care Group could possibly choose just one
charity to support in light of so many worthy charities that deserve our
attention.  

 

Scott Klein, Kevin Zacharoff MD, and myself owe a debt of gratitude and
thanks to Gotham's Tribal Council for their willingness to let us dream
bigger.  We had no idea at the time how impactful this might become nor that
it would be adopted as an annual event.  Now in our 4th consecutive year,
the impact that a seed of an idea has created for 8 charities that Gotham
members are passionate is priceless. 

 

I wrote a few years back about how the things that people dedicated to the
jobs they do in healthcare have effect not only the patients they serve
during the course of their career but for generations to come and that is
should never be underestimated. The same is true here.  

 

We thank you. We hope that you understand how valuable your participation is
and how meaningful and long lasting it will be for the family that benefit
from our efforts not only just for today but in many cases for generations
to come.  $10.00 and $20.00 donations collectively make us all heroes and we
should be very proud of that.
