Gothamites,
I am amazed at the immediate outpouring of support & heartfelt good wishes from you. Those who felt a bit helpless with no contacts, reached out with kindness and compassion and word of hope.
So many of you made extraordinary efforts to spread my request and were able to forward great contacts from all over the U.S.  I'm still following up though I believe we found the right NYC specialist for a 2nd opinion due to your input.  My daughter's doctor has solid experience with this very rare cancer (nothing like treatment in a top hospital in NYC and the country) and has worked so well with her, but I hope we will get that 2nd opinion soon.  In the meantime, Ariel has started chemo, home care and gaining great strength and support from her many friends.  This fills her with gratitude, love, hope, the healing power of laughter and feeling alive - all this she has radiated throughout her life & it is coming back at her.  She inspires me and keeps me present.  As does the generosity and kindness I find with you.
We continue to go from strength to strength and be strengthened.
