Position Purpose:   
Manage multiple large scale IT projects, direct and integrate the work
of other teams, communicate regular project status to Sponsors and
project teams and ensure projects are completed on time and that they
meet the defined requirements and budgets. 

Key Accountabilities:  
. Work with internal and external IT resources, as well as business
unit members to scope, define, analyze, estimate, budget and oversee a
variety of large scale IT projects within the Global Equity business
and application vertical 
. Mentor project team members, each responsible for an element of the
project or other related projects.
. Develop, monitor and execute project plans and coordinate timely
execution of major milestones, approvals, sign-offs and
implementation.
. Manage priorities and issues where conflicts arise; mediate and
resolve project team conflicts. 
. Regularly report progress of project status, milestones,
achievements and budgetary standing in both formal (steering
committee) and informal settings.
. Work with vendors and suppliers to procure equipment and technology.
. Communicate effectively with developers, database administrators,
network analysts, systems analysts, senior management, project
sponsors and business users.
. Present project objectives to the appropriate approval committee.
. Determine project roles and responsibilities; allocate resources;
manage assigned resources to ensure projects are completed on time and
within budget; ensure resources are used effectively. 
. Proactively manage project issues including analysis, assessment,
and appropriate escalation.
. Provide regular risk assessments.
. Administer project modification/change control; obtain estimates of
duration and price for changes to be approved by the steering
committee responsible for the project.
. Be able to recommend project closure procedures.
. Coordinate release of deliverables to customer. 
. Facilitate and document the results of the project completion
reviews. 

Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience):  
. High level of knowledge and experience in managing projects in the
brokerage and securities industries and the equity business line in
particular
. Bachelor's Degree in Business, MIS/IT, or a related field 
. A minimum of 5 years success as an IT project manager, with proven
people management skills
. Experience managing multiple, high-visibility projects
. Knowledge of Equity - DMA, Program Trading, Equity Options &
Futures
. High level of general management skills, including leading,
negotiating, communicating and team building
. Strong understanding of IT principals, including lifecycle planning,
estimating and architecture
. Fully proficient in use of MS Office, MS Project, Visio and other PM
tools
. Highly organized, with strong customer service, interpersonal and
analytical skills
. PMP designation preferred
. Creative problem solving skills and attention to detail
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail oriented environment
