Steve's public thanks was totally unnecessary but much appreciated. 

 

And the thanks should go to Rob Basso who produces a great presentation
that's informative, interactive, and beneficial for all who attend; and
there also are videos, blog posts, and other informational resources
available through Rob's prodigious efforts.  

 

I second Steve's suggestion that you check out all that Rob is doing to help
resuscitate business in the NY area through Basso On Business.

With nary an appointment nor agenda for today I get a phone call from David.
David offered me his coveted seat at The "Basso on Business" executive
working lunch today at The Fox Hollow. Robert Basso as you may know has
developed a program designed to ignite the real potential of successful
entrepreneurs on Long Island. The luncheon featured an in depth interview
with a local fence manufacturer/installer from Freeport Long Island. Rob
proceeded  to share his interview with the owner and then the attendees
drilled down and discussed what was working and what needed improvement. I
left the meeting feeling invigorated and passionate about how many of us in
Gotham serve to assist the business community. It is events like this that
will put Long Island on the map for a region that brings together the best
innovators and collaborators in an effort to leverage our "human capital"
(Rob's phrase). If you haven't had a chance check out "Bassoonbusiness.com"
for blogs and stories featuring Rob and his team which includes the quality
PR of William Corbett coupled with the media management of Rick Dorfman from
Rain Management. These guys are professionals and with the help of Rob's
assistant Christina, produce a meeting that pays attention to all of the
details.  Once again, David...thanks for your "seat" the afternoon was
dynamic and insightful.
