Job Description 

Opportunity for Director of Business Development in a dynamic, growing
company. 

The Business Development Dept inducts all new projects from sales; develops
RFP & RFQ strategies; sources & negotiates for products & prepares sales
presentations with the support of the Graphics & Design Dept.  This dept
acts as the hub for all spec management changes throughout the organization,
ensures continuity of supply & manages quality control from our vendors.
This dept is critical to the future sales growth, spec mgmt & quality
control of the Company.
The Business Development Director directs & manages the overall productivity
methods, procedures & output of the entire Business Development Dept; with
emphasis on internal & external customer satisfaction & quality control,
accurate & timely quoting, profit analysis and other follow-up.

RESPONSIBILITIES

*	Package & design development. 
*	Internal & external customer support. 
*	Development of packaging design alternatives for existing & new
products. 
*	Act as in-house technical expert for box designs, testing & issue
resolution in absence of, or at times, in support of QC manager. 
*	Leading projects to completion & customer satisfaction. 
*	Collaborate with all business associates to create a functional
supply chain. 
*	Use of project management skills to create plans, attain resources,
resolve issues & ensure completion of project deliverables. 
*	Embrace "speed to market" culture. 
*	Consistent continuous improvement efforts leading to greater
operational efficiencies. 
*	Develop & enhance sources of supply for all items you are
responsible to procure. 
*	Jointly plan & execute sourcing strategies that will deliver cost,
quality & service improvement for our customers. 
*	Negotiate for enhanced margins in all areas. 
*	Create & maintain a dept culture that is service & quality driven 
*	Emphasize the dept environment to function as a unit/team to
accomplish goals. 
*	Conformance to customer & sales team requirements 
*	Development of Company procedures to cultivate & instill a "Best
Practice" environment. 
*	Develop & maintain a training plan for dept. 
*	Implementation of new business & expansion of existing business -
sales growth 

  REQUIREMENTS

*	Packaging experience (sales, manufacturing & design) mandatory 
*	BS Degree 
*	7+years of project mgmt, preferably in a box plant, manufacturing
facility or distribution center 
*	Process Mapping 
*	Proficient in use of problem solving & project management tools 
*	Skills & development training 
*	Business system/office system software (including Microsoft - all
products ie Excel, Access, Word, etc) 
*	Business/technical writing 
*	Strong negotiator 
*	Relationship management (internal & external) - all organizational
levels
