            POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
        
            PROJECT ASSOCIATE 
        
            
            
        
            The Center for Social Inclusion (“CSI”) is a fast-paced, nimble national policy organization that works to build opportunity for everyone by dismantling structural racism. We partner with communities of color and other allies to create strategies and build policy reform models to end racial disparity and promote equal opportunity. Using a systems analysis with a race lens, we collaboratively develop and move transformational policies and the relationships and tools to support victory.             We seek a creative, collaborative and committed entry-level professional with demonstrated commitment to racial equity with strong organizational, communications and research skills to support our advocacy team. The Project Associate reports to the Senior Advocate and is charged with organizing meetings, maintaining relationships with partners and allies and conducting research to support advocacy projects.  Strong applicants will be driven, organized, possess strong inter-personal and relationship-building skills and be comfortable multi-tasking and working on deadline. Working closely with the Senior Advocate and a talented staff, the successful candidate will build on our strong relationships and policy work on transportation equity, broadband access and other projects.
        
            FULL-TIME:  40 hours per week
        
            ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
        
            The Project Associate’s essential functions are to assist the Executive Director, Senior Advocate, and Researchers in the accomplishment of project goals by organizing meetings, engaging in research and research support activities, assisting in external communications, supporting fundraising efforts and conducting relevant administrative duties. 
        
            MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
        
            
                Coordinating meetings, trainings, briefings and other policy advocacy activities;
            
                Building relationships with local and national advocates and policymakers;
            
                Conducting  policy research and writing;
            
                Participating in project team meetings that determine strategic direction of advocacy work;
            
                Conducting project-related administrative tasks, including meeting logistics, travel arrangements for participants and taking and circulating meeting minutes.
        
        
            REQUIREMENTS:
        
            
                Demonstrated commitment to social justice and anti-racism work;
            
                Strong ability to work closely with others in a small office environment;
            
                Strong organizational skills;
            
                Strong communication skills, written and oral;
            
                Experience in meeting organizing and research;
            
                Ability to produce high-quality work under tight, external deadlines and to set and manage own deadlines;
            
                Ability to multi-task effectively;
            
                Completion of at least four years of post-secondary education with a minimum of a Bachelor of Arts Degree;
            
                Competent in the use of Access, Windows, Excel and Power Point.
        
        
            Compensation:
        
            Salary: $45,000
