[Fredslist] Lee Ryder's concerts are a must!

This evening I braved the gusty winds and overturned trees along the Merritt to come and hear Lee Ryder sing at one of her Amuse concerts. At the door I met Iris Wolinksy, an established Amuse fan (and a vocalist, herself!).

Despite the temptation to stay warm and snuggled back in my house, I had told Lee a long time ago that I would be at her next concert. And I'm so glad that I came in to hear her and her group sing. Everything was wonderful, from the incense-infused smell of the small church to the acoustics, the excellent selection of songs (songs found in Shakespeare's works set to acappella music), to the appreciative audience, and the lovely reception afterward. An added treat was to get to know Iris more and share the concert with her as well. Concerts are even better when you can share them with another music enthusiast!

I rarely get to hear such beautiful music like this played (sung) live, and certainly never get to hear such an interesting program. Had I not met Lee through Gotham and had the opportunity to talk about music with her, I would have missed an evening like the one I had tonight.

Gotham, next time you have an opportunity to hear Lee and Amuse sing, please don't pass it by. It is too wonderful to miss!!
